BD FACSDiscover™ S8 Cell Sorter

The BD FACSDiscover™ S8 Cell Sorter is the first spectral flow cytometer sorter to integrate image-based analysis with real-time cell sorting.

The combination of image analysis and multi-dimensional analysis with cell sorting, enabling researchers to sort cells not only based on fluorescence parameters but also morphological and fluorescent imaging data such as, sorting based on protein expression localization, cell structure and protein diffusivity.

📸 BD CellView™ Image Technology

Provides spatial and morphological insights through 3 imaging detectors on a 488nm laser:

• FL1 (534/46)

• FL2 (600/60)

• FL3 (788/225)

➡️ Including additionally 12 image metrics for each of the 3 imaging parameters (e.g., eccentricity, max intensity, size, radial moment, correlation, delta center of mass).

🌈 BD SpectralFX™ Technology
Equipped with 5 lasers (UV, violet, blue, yellow-green, red) and 78 fluorescence detectors — allowing for high-dimensional analysis.

 

 

 

 

🧪 Advanced Sorting Capabilities
• Sorting options: Two-way sorting into 15mL tubes, six-way sorting into microtubes and 12 X 75 tubes.

  • ACDU (Automated Cell Deposition Unit) for sorting into:
    ◦ Microscope slides
    ◦ Multi-well plates (6, 24, 48, 96, 384)

    • Includes cooling units ❄️and temperature-controlled sample chamber and collection system
